Hamoud, ID H00084092, gave a presentation on Non-Renewable & Renewable Energy on Wednesday, 02/01/2013 at 2:40 in the Higher Colleges of Technology in room T003. The subject that he presented was clear and simpler for me. Hamoud was tense and confounded, but after a while he was able to be confident and was looking to us; his eye contact was okay. He was standing next to the screen and did not obscure the screen for us and that was good. He used notes a little to remember his information. He didn’t use a lot of writing, he just put some head notes in the slides; he used pictures. His voice was a little confused; as I said earlier he was initially hesitant and tense. The presentation was clear, colorful, orderly and easy to understand. He used a nice and clear background; it was easy to understand. He used simple words, the text size was large and clear to understand. He did not use effects or animation on the slides but it was a good slide show. Overall, he explained well and clearly for the audience to understand; also his subject was familiar for me because I study about it. I think Hamoud must be more confident in himself and not be so nervous.

Presentation Report 1

Abdulla presented his topic about the Republic of Italy on Wednesday 26-Dec-2012 at 2:45 pm in ADMC room T003. He introduced to us what will be presented in a good way and the subject was clear. And he was looking to the whole audience and his eye contact was good. And one good thing about Abdulla was that he was standing next to the screen,  not in front of the screen and that's a good thing from the presenter. He used note cards but not too much; only he used them to remember numbers and some information. He did not put a lot of writing in his presentation but he put images and through images he explained and presented it to us. His voice was clear and easilyunderstood; also his presentation was arranged, organized and easy to understand. He was relaxed and confident of himself. He used a clear background; it was easy to read and it was a good thing that he did not use a dark background because it would be difficult for us to see and read. Also the text size was clearly shown and easy to read.  He did not put animation and effects but he showed nice pictures. In general, in my view,it was a very good presentation; it was clear and simple and added new information to me.

Meeting objectives:

This meeting is to suggest a proposal to increase the college capacity. We will discuss the aspects of change. We will give the reasons why they must change. There are a lot of difficulties during the change and we will discuss that. We will give our recommendations on the college capacity. After that we will look at the time table for this change.

Meeting Reflection:

The meeting was held at the Abu Dhabi Men's College in Abu Dhabi on 18th  Dec, 2012 at 3:00 pm to 3:26. We discussed about improving the college and I was the participant who was responsible to ask, hear and give any suggestions. Also I exchanged proposals with my team. We discussed many things that will help to improve the college. For example, we talked about the capacity and we found solutions. Also we discussed if it is possible to have another branch outside Abu Dhabi Island. Then the observer Hedley said if we have another branch outside Abu Dhabi there will be no students at this college. We said that students who are close to the college in Abu Dhabi will not go to the other branch, but they will stay in this college. And students from outside Abu Dhabi Island are the ones who will move to an outside Abu Dhabi College. In my opinion, the meeting overall was very useful because we talked about our opinions and we had different ideas. I liked the way the team discussed the information and respected the views of others. Finally, we got some solutions on how to solve this problem.

 Agenda item: Increase the college capacity

Discussion: Hamoud welcomed the attendees and introduced the agenda item. Then he said that there is not enough area for parking and classes. Then Ali Al-Bahrani talked about the area and how to solve this problem.

 

Agenda item: The aspects of change

Discussion: Ali Al-Bahrani said the aspect that needs to be increased is the area. Also the parks and the classes needed to be increased in the capacity. Also Ali Nasser said that we can remove the tennis court to expand M block.

 

Agenda item:  Reasons for change

Discussion: Ali Nasser said that the number of student at ADMC is increasing year by year. We therefore need to upgrade and develop ADMC facilities. Also we must give each major a specific section.

 

Agenda item: Difficulties during the change

 

Discussion: Hamoud said the problem is that we don't have an area. So Ali Al-Bahrani said we need an alternative college outside Abu Dhabi. Also this will cost a lot of money.

 

Agenda item: Recommendations

 

Discussion: Find solutions for the difficulties we discussed. The team gave many recommendations so we can get rid of the difficulties. First of all Ali Al-Bahrani said we need to have new parking. And about completing the education role while new constrictiontakes place, we agreed that the college should have another branch in the Abu Dhabi suburbs so it can be the alternative of the main one which will beon Abu Dhabi island.
